Mr. Justice KN. Basha started legal practice in 1976 at Madras High Court and other subordinate courts in Tamil Nadu both on Civil and Criminal sides. He was designated as Senior Advocate by Madras High Court in 2005. He was appointed as Judge, of Madras High Court on 10.12.2005 and he demitted office on 13.05.2013. He was then appointed as Chairman, Intellectual Property Appellate Board, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India in August 2013 from where he retired on 13.05.2016.
He has resumed practice as a Senior Advocate, at the Supreme Court of India, and is doing mediation and arbitration work as Mediator / Arbitrator / Neutral in very high-profile cases of commercial conflicts.
