Mr. Nirmal Singh belonged to the 1970 batch of Indian Administrative Service (I.A.S.) borne on Tamil Nadu Cadre. Aer serving in several important positions under the State Government and Government of India, he retired from the Civil Service in 2008. He was then appointed first as a member and then Chairman of B.I.F.R., a quasi-judicial body for a period of 5 years ll 2013. He has been dealing with dispute resolution on the panels of ONGC, NTPC, and GAIL for the past more than 5 years. A fellow of the Indian Council of Arbitration, he is a highly skilled and experienced arbitrator on the panels of SCOPE, National Stock Exchanges, and Central Registrar of Co-operative Societies.
